The Democratic Party of St Johns County consists of the Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) and a network of local community-based clubs. Each is committed to registering voters, increasing Democratic voter participation in elections, and improving voter awareness of issues through informative meetings and social gatherings. Democratic Executive Committee
Hastings Democratic Club
When a number of residents of Hastings realized that they enjoyed working together during the 2012 Presidential campaign, the result was the organization of the new Hastings Democratic Club. Since their formation in January 2013, they have organized neighborhood cleanups on the third Saturday of each month, and both a Fish Fry Fundraiser and a pancake breakfast at Johnny and Beanies Restaurant. Members of the club volunteer at the Democratic Headquarters and have been very supportive of various Democratic activities. If you live in the greater St. Augustine area and would like to become a member of the St. Augustine Democratic Club, contact Democratic Headquarters weekdays from 11:00 Noon to 5:00 PM at 904-825-2336 or send an email to: stjohnsdemocraticparty@gmail.com. The St. Johns County Young Democrats normally meet at Democratic Headquarters on the Fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 PM at Democratic Headquarters. ![]() Ponte Vedra Democratic Club
The Ponte Vedra Democratic Club's focus is on current national, state and local issues affecting those living in Ponte Vedra. They regularly invite speakers who can inform the members on those issues. Elected officials and Democratic candidates are welcome and encouraged to come to the club meetings as guest speakers. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to get to know the elected representatives, mingle with Democratic candidates and socialize with our Democratic neighbors. Since the 2016 Presidential election, a large number of people living in the area known as St. Johns have come together to become more politically active. They hold meetings with speakers on the second Monday of the month at the Unity Church for Creative Living, 2777 Race Track Rd at 6:30 PM. They also hold a monthly social event that includes coffee and postcard writing on the fourth Monday of the month at 10:00 AM at the Maple Street Biscuit Co., 1627 Race Track Rd. The Democratic Women's Club of St Johns County is a network for energized and informed women. It is a resource to Democratic candidates and promotes issues important to women. The DWC presents programs and provides information to enable voters to be informed and to be able to speak to issues, encouraging women voters to become active participants in politics. The Democratic Women's Club of St. Johns County is chartered through the National Democratic Women's Federation and the Democratic Women's Club of Florida, Inc. The DWC meets on the second Wednesday of the month, alternating between luncheon meetings at Amici's Restaurant or evening meetings at Jaybird's Restaurant. The St. Johns Progressive Democratic Caucus currently meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 2:00 PM following the Blue Bag Lunch at Democratic Headquaraters.
